Only the following individuals will be given press accreditation for attending an event held by the Koelnmesse Group:

- Holders of an officially recognized German press pass
Holders of valid ID from one of the following associations:
- Internationale Assoziation deutschsprachiger Medien (IADM), Cologne
- Internationale Journalisten-F�deration (IJF), Brussels
- International Federation of Journalists (IFJ), Brussels
- F�d�ration Internationale des Journalistes (FIJ), Brussels
Journalists
- who can present a letter (original letterhead, no copies) from an editorial office commissioning them to visit the trade fair in question or who are able to legitimize their attendance by presenting recent press articles naming them as the author,
- who can present a recent masthead naming them as one of the publication�s editors, journalists or freelance authors
- Spokespersons of companies that are exhibiting at the trade fair in question
- Individuals who can prove that they are involved in the press activities of an institution or government agency
- Foreign journalists with an official press pass from their country of origin

The following people will not be accredited: |
- Individuals lacking any kind of journalistic certification
- German nationals residing in Germany who present a foreign press pass
- Individuals with press passes issued by associations and organizations that have not been recognized by the German Interior Ministers Conference
- Individuals with company ID from broadcasting stations, agencies or publishing houses, and who do not have a commission from an editorial office
- Individuals whose press passes have expired
- Individuals whose certification was not issued by an editorial office or whose commission does not cover the trade fair in question

Internet editorial offices |
Due to the general accessibility of the Internet and the attendant difficulty of evaluating the performance of journalists working for online publications, members of Internet editorial offices will only be accredited if they can present an official press pass. This restriction does not apply to Internet editorial offices which can prove that they are connected with publishing houses or the editorial offices of print publications.

- Display of Koelnmesse press releases and product information of exhibitors
- Press computer workstations with CD-ROM drives, Internet and e-mail access, communication interfaces for mobile computers/laptops
- Koelnmesse photo service: Digital image material on CD-ROM concerning each trade fair, Koelnmesse and the city of Cologne; online distribution of visual motifs from the image data bank
- Cologne Trade Fair TV Service by WIGE COMMUNICATION GmbH: As of 2006, WIGE COMMUNICATION is pleased to offer TV footage from every fair to all TV stations completely free of charge: - Rough cut (length approx. 10-15 min) of the trade fair�s highlights, featuring interviews and representative footage, available on the first day of each fair - Rough cut (length approx. 15-30 min), featuring background stories, (multilingual) interviews and footage (suitable for international TV stations), available one day after each fair According to requirements, the feed of the first day of each fair (rough cut) will be available either via satellite or ATM line. The international feed will be sent out on tape (Beta SP PAL/ NTSC) by courier one day after the fair. Subject to availability, special requests from TV stations can be considered. If required, ENG-teams and edit suites incl. cutter may be hired. In this case, we would ask you to contact us in good time (at least 24 hours in advance). - Koelnmesse-radio service: Koelnmesse offers radio stations the option of downloading broadcast-ready audio material in MP3 format for their reporting free of charge. The radio service can be accessed via the Press section of the respective trade fair website, at the latest by the first day of the trade fair. Here, reports and original sound footage can be listened to and downloaded (MP3, 128Kb, mono). The available materials include complete broadcast-ready features (between 1:30 and 7:00 min.), individual modules that can be edited by the broadcaster, original sound footage, reports, News and interviews related to the trade fair. Separate reports or modules for editing can also be produced upon request to fit individual needs. The reports can also be sent upon request via audio CD.

Public Transport free of charge |
 |
Visitors, exhibitors and journalists can use their admission tickets during the fair to travel free of charge on all public transport, such as buses, trams and local trains in and around Cologne. This does not apply to German Railways' (DB) trains which are subject to supplements.
