Knowledge Mart

Leading practitioners from the private and public sectors will be available for free one-on-one sessions of 15-20 minutes to answer your questions. Topics covered include: carbon asset creation and management, carbon portfolio management, carbon contracting and deal structuring, monitoring and reporting and emissions trading.

Industry Association Member Events

As in 2005, Industry Associations are invited to hold meetings on the margins of CARBON EXPO. We will provide free meeting rooms for one-day private workshops with members and facilitate access to leading specialists in carbon finance as well as in technical and market issue.

Exhibitor Side events

CARBON EXPO will make available to exhibitors a fully equipped conference room for up 50 people for one hour during the three-day event where they can organize workshops or presentations for clients or CARBON EXPO participants in general.*

Project Bulletin Boards

CARBON EXPO offers you an opportunity to buy emission reductions from CDM and JI projects. Host countries and project developers exhibiting at CARBON EXPO will bring project idea notes and project design documents to the event, that are ready for sale/negotiation. The majority will be pre-scanned for quality by an IETA/World Bank expert panel.

In 2005 emission reduction purchase agreements for more than 100 projects were signed or reached advanced negotiations at CARBON EXPO.

Technology Fair

Manufacturers and providers are invited to showcase their climate friendly technologies, and meet potential new clients that are interested in investing in technologies that reduce greenhouse gases and thus constribute to the global combat on climate change. To date, clean technologies have featured in successful projects in many sectors including: renewable energy (wind turbines, run-of-river hydropower projects, bagasse co-generation), waste management (landfill gas-to-energy projects), energy efficiency, fuel switching, gas flaring in oil and gas production, district heating etc. Opportunities abound for other clean technologies in other sectors such as transportation, off-grid electrification projects (photovoltaic, energy efficiency), etc.
