The objective and task of the Institute is the development of an optional subject of trade fair management within the main degree course, the conduct of practically-oriented research projects on all topical questions in the trade fair business as well as assistance with theses and dissertations.
As an interface between theory and practice, the Institute will conduct basic and applied research in the field of trade fair management, and will also promote the implementation of scientific findings into practice.
In the summer semester 2000, teaching started with a series of lectures on the theme of "Trade fair management: conception, organization and implementation" The series is clearly practically oriented.
