Food and packaging technology for the Indian food industry. The fourth International FoodTec India. Trade fair to take place in Mumbai in the autumn of 2006

From 23rd to 25th November 2006, the fourth International FoodTec India will be taking place in Mumbai. This trade fair for food and packaging technology in the Indian food industry will serve as a concentrated and effective information and purchasing platform. Additional synergies will result from the parallel trade fairs Dairy Universe India and Sweet & Snack Factory India. In India one of the worlds fastest-growing economies the demand for processed foods and beverages is increasing in proportion to the rising average income of the population. This is leading to a huge demand for state-of-the-art processing and packaging technology. The trio of trade fairs in India scheduled for the autumn of 2006 will provide a highly efficient and focused way to meet this demand.

International FoodTec India fair is a spin-off of Anuga FoodTec, the international trade fair for food and drink technology in Cologne. Held every three years, Anuga FoodTec covers the complete spectrum of production requirements for the entire food industry in terms of both technology and investment. Its interdisciplinary, cross-process approach also applies to International FoodTec India, in combination with the two parallel events with special consideration for the requirements of the Indian food industry.

The product range of International FoodTec India encompasses process and packaging technology, measurement and regulatory systems, analytical and hygienic equipment, research and development, ingredients, beverage technology, and refrigeration and freezing technology.

In conjunction with International FoodTec India, a recently appointed Advisory Board will convene to analyse the current situation in the food processing industry and how it can be addressed at the fair.
