On May 12, 1928, the most significant special event of the twenties, "PRESSA - International Press Exhibition", is opened. The exhibition takes place on the grounds between today's Deutzer Brücke and the Zoobrücke (bridges). At this stage it comprises 66,500 square meters of hall space. Five million visitors - amongst them numerous foreigners - pour into Cologne.
